Abdullah Gull, president of Turkey, banned on some Google services and YouTube in his country by making use of his Twitter page.

On June 10, 2010, Gull stated in a tweet posted,
“I know there are lots of complaints about on YouTube and Google. I am definitely against them being closed down. I have ordered responsible institutions for a solution. I asked for a change in regulations on merit.”
Human rights groups and media regulator associations have extended advised Turkey, a European Union contender, to make an improvement its restraining Internet laws.
In January, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe , stated,
“Turkey was blocking some 3,700 Internet sites for “arbitrary and political reasons.”
Entrée to the admired video-sharing site YouTube has been barred by the Turkish government as 2008 subsequent to consumers positioned videos in which they spoke,
“ Kemal Ataturk, the originator of new Turkey, was an alcoholic and a homosexual.”
Previous this month, Turkey’s Telecommunications Board said,
“It blocked access to Google sites “because of legal reasons.”
Turkey has quoted offences counting child pornography, abusive Ataturk and encouraging suicide for jamming websites.
The position of president in Turkey is basically formal; verdicts are taken by the cabinet prime and minister.
