The Wall Street Journal has very soon made confirm that Apple has declared,
“ Japanese customers will be able to use micro SIM cards with carriers outside of the country.”

The statement approaches after gossips that iPad 3Gs in Japan may be carrier-locked.

This does not indicate that Japanese users will be capable of get the benefit of carriers exterior to the country when in Japan, but somewhat will be competent to bank money on nomadic charges by using a micro SIM when nomadicing globally.

If the gossips were factual, that would have destined Japanese customers would have been enforced to acquire the high roaming charges charged by the only Japanese iPad carrier, Softbank. NTT DoCoMo devises to present the device but reversed after Softbank went through an exclusive pact with Apple.
