The world’s largest digital image, at 45 gigapixels was aided by Gigapan after defeating out the prior record of 26 gigapixels and that image was of Paris.

The image is a view of Dubai captured with a Canon 7D DSLR escalated on Gigapan’s Epic Pro robotic mount. The freshly commenced mount was used by photographer Gerald Donovan to arrest almost 4,250 individual photos over three and a half hours before striping them mutually.
Randy Sargent and Paul Heckbert are GigaPan Engineers, who assisted Donovan to suture the images via Autopano software.
The EPIC Pro is well-matched with DSLRs and large lenses that weigh up as much as 10lbs when joint. Like previous in the array, it contains a clock that detains an image each 1 to 300 seconds.
It’s asking price is $895.
