There have occurred a deal of 240 million between apple ipad 1 300×174 Apple and Samsung. It will supply 3 million additional 9.7 inch iPad displays to Samsung.

The time period for this contract is unspecified and 3 million iPads displays will be supplied to the Samsung.

An industry executive told the Korean Times.

“The most expensive component in the iPad is the display and touch-screen interface that costs $80 for all models.”

The display of iPad is five times more worth than the handset’s screens as well as it has four times the amount of surfaces.The primary source for the iPad screens was LG Display Co. because of the electronic manufacturer, in-plane switching(IPS) technology offered by South Korea that allows maximum 178—degree broader screening range. The Cupertino, Calif. Company also has signed a deal of $500 million till 2013, which was expended to $800 million and will supply 10 million iPad displays.

The dealay in Wi-Fi ipads launch was denied by the Apple’s chief hardware supplier, Foxconn Electronics, due to any production problems till the April 3 launch of the Wi-Fi iPads. Samsung has decided to manufacture the IPS screens as the primary suppliers use the IPS based technology.

In the allied news, a Samsung supervisory said the company was “in bottomless discussion” with Apple to provide displays for the as-yet unexpected 4G iPhones and iPads.

Samsung screens for the next age group iPhone 4G that is whispered to be launched in the standard of this year.

The executive also said,

“We are receiving related orders from Apple.” and will use the LCD panels for the upcoming iphone generations.
